The Journey Of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 12

KBC season 12 made a comeback with a two-fold messaging ‘Deviyon aur Sajjano' which conveys not just the bigger and better return of the show after a pandemic, but also a motivational nudge for participants and viewers in 2020. The show was premiered on September 28, 2020 from Monday to Friday at 9:00 pm on Sony Entertainment Television, and hosted by Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan.  

KBC 2020 was co-powered by Vedantu and Tata Salt. The associate sponsors were IDFC FIRST Bank, LIC, Asian Paints, Ultratech Cement, Quick Heal, Sensodyne, and Nissan. Reserve Bank of India was the special partner on the show. It was available on Sony LIV, and viewers enjoyed the thrill of the show by participating in it.

The channel said ‘A booming response during the first-ever digital audition for KBC Season 12 featured hope, dreams, and aspirations within people from all over India. KBC as a show has always gone beyond its capacity year after year, bringing the common people at the forefront and celebrating human virtues of self-belief, patience, courage, confidence, and intelligence.’

KBC Season 12 comes with a few changes relevant to COVID-19. Whereas, the theme of the show remains the same. For the first time in 20 years, the show was not recorded in the studio, and all safety guidelines set by the government were followed.
